The objective of Ashtanga Yoga is the purification of the physical and mental states. Ashtanga yoga is a combination of intense yogic movements that focus on stabilizing your mind and body. The initial training starts with Surya Namaskar or Ten Sun Salutation followed by basic hatha yoga postures. The advanced series includes a set of inversions and seated postures, which are associated with the vinyasa sequence.
